CHANGES IN THE TOWN CLERK’S OFFICE
A familiar face within the Town of Cottonwood will be no longer seen after Friday February, 8th. Mrs. Jolaine Reynolds will be officially retiring as the Town Clerk of Cottonwood on March 1st. Mrs. Reynolds began in the clerk’s position on Oct. 5th, 1995. Prior to that she was an accountant in City of Jacksonville, Florida’s Finance Dept. She retired from that position after serving 25 years. In the nearly 13 years in Cottonwood she has served in the administration of two mayors and several council members and has seen many changes in the municipal government of Cottonwood. Of the advances made, what stands out at the moment is the transition from “manual” bookkeeping methods to a computerized system which serves all of the town’s and the court system’s records. It may not eliminate the mound of paperwork but it is easier to organize. Her current plans for retirement include spending time with friends and family and probably a trip to visit her son in Utah. In her words, her husband (William Sr.) “Is just like any other man. He thinks I’m crazy to give up a good job”.
From the staff of the Town of Cottonwood: Good luck and congratulations. It has been an honor and privilege to have you as part of our family. We Will Miss You! ENJOY!
